Description
Participate as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and/or integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments
Apply knowledge of IA policy, procedures, and workforce structure to design, develop, and implement secure networking , computing, and enclave environments
Support security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management
Identify overall security requirements for the proper handling of Government data
Work with the IA team to plan and coordinate the IT security programs and policies
Coordinate with system developers, administrators, and owners on security changes
Manage and control changes to the system and assessing the security impact of those changes
Perform security continuous monitoring and reporting for the systems supported on the contract
Prepare and maintain the Security documentation, such as SSPs, for the systems supported on the contract in accordance with IC and Agency policies
Serve as the initial security Approval Authority for the systems supported on the contract
Utilize COTS/GOTS to communicate system status and compliance to management and shareholders
Support AO/DAO, SCA, and ISSM on system Assessment and Authorization (A&A) duties to obtain and maintain ATOs for the systems supported on the contract
Conduct daily review of and respond to security related tickets
Perform the role of ISSO team lead; provide guidance and direction to more junior members of the IA team
Desired Skills
Windows or Linux SA experience
Network Admin experience
AWS experience
Experience with an audit reduction and tool such as Splunk
Experience with a vulnerability scanner such as Nessus
Familiarity with IC, DoD, and NIST Security Policies and Procedures
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, and seven (7) years of ISSE experience, or
No degree (High School/GED) and eleven (11) years of ISSE experience
